We took over The Dining Room in May 2009 The Restaurant is within The Rennie Mackintosh Museum and Gallery, Derngate , Northampton, and cater for patrons of The Museum, however we are an independant business and have already established a new and revitalised atmosphere to the restaurant, but aim to continue to improve the service and quality.
The Team Rachael did her degree in Graphic Communications at Nene University in Northampton. It was whilst doing her studies that she worked evenings and weekends at Caffe Uno in Rugby. What started as a casual waitress job to fund her Uni Course grew to become more important and valuable experience was gained. She went on to become Manager, building up a strong reputation for all round quality service.
Daniel Trained at De Vere Hotel, Coventry he was Head Chef at Caffe Uno prior to the partnership with Rachael at The Dining Room. He has extensive knowledge of the catering business and has been able to use these skills to increasing advantage by improving and refining the Menu at The Dining Room. A perfectionist in the kitchen he is always looking for ways to improve the presentation quality and variety of the food served at the restaurant.
Appermita The third and valued member of the team, she originates from Nepal, and has contributed her talents both to 'front of house' and with increasing importance in the kitchen, working alongside Dan. Her artistic skill in presentation of The Classic High Tea items has been particularly admired by our customers.
